Meet Our Staff

Christi: Animal Control Officer / Supervisor

Hi everyone! My name is Christi, I have been with the Mexico Animal Shelter for over 9 years.  I have always had a passion for animals so what an opportunity this has been to work here. I stay very busy caring for my own 2 boxers, a granddaughter and running a home. Typically  my day starts at 4:45 am between tapping of paws and little feet to patrolling school zones, trapping ,picking up strays,  cleaning, feeding and caring for animals at the Mexico Animal Shelter.  It’s important to us in keeping a clean and safe environment for all our animals.

“Animals don’t lie. Animals don’t criticize. If animals have moody days, they handle them better than humans do.”

Lori Ann: Animal Control Officer

Welcome to our shelter page, my name is Lori Ann.  I have been at The Mexico Animal Shelter since 2008. My first job was at a veterinary clinic.  I have such a passion for animals, thus makes my job very enjoyable. It has been 5 years since I adopted my cat, Bella. In my free time I love to sing and spend as much time as I can with family which includes my 2 sons.  I am very blessed to be able to go to a job I love everyday and to find animals good homes.

“The world would be a nicer place if everyone had the ability to love as unconditionally as a dog”

Chris:  Attendant part-time and Website Designer
Hi everyone! It is  such a pleasure working here at the shelter. I enjoy caring of all these fur babies. What a fun job to help find these guys a forever home, it warms my heart!  For 35 years I lived in Southern  Califonia working  as  manager in the automotive and paint industry.  It’s been extremely wonderful living in the Midwest, I wouldn’t change this for anything!
